Passover’s Opportunity to Recalibrate Your Life
Each year the Lord has prescribed appointments on His calendar to recalibrate His people and set them on a course to enter into His perfect timing. These appointments with God, otherwise known as Biblical feasts, are key moments to assess our lives – the good, the bad and the ugly portions – and make adjustments to enter into a new season. Below, you’ll find my 14 day prayer focus to make life adjustments and recalibrate to enter in through God’s “new season” door in time called Passover.
We are now at the time to prepare for our Passover appointment with God. Israel prepared for the first Passover, the exodus from Egypt (Exodus 12). Jesus became our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7). Today, we are called celebrate what Jesus accomplished and make ourselves ready for the coming feast known as the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:6-9).
14 Days to Focus: Recalibrate and Enter into the Next Season
April 9 – 23, 2016 (Nissan/Abib 1-14, 5776)
Day 1: Declare that God is recalibrating your timing! God reset Israel’s calendar and used Passover as the mark of a new era. (Exodus 12:1-2)
Day 2: Remember the Egypt that God saved you from. Assess the false belief systems you had before coming to Christ and evaluate if you have any of these practices in you. (Exodus 13:3, Ephesians 2:1-9)
Day 3: Deliver us from evil! Seek the Lord for freedom from Egypt related sin. Repent for sins of witchcraft, superstition, manipulation, slavery, idolatry and rebellion. Declare, “Egypt, you’re not coming with me!” (Matthew 6:13)
Day 4: Allow the Lord to reset your identity. Examine your mindset of who you are as a blood bought redeemed child of God. (Ephesians 1:1-13)
Day 5: Write out a summary of your life this past year – faith, work, family. TIP: Look through your calendar to see where you’ve been and what you’ve dedicated your time to accomplish. How have you advanced? Where have you stumbled? What are you working on now?
Day 6: Take your summary before the Lord and ask Him to identify things that are finished and need to be retired so you can focus on the new season. (Psalm 119:129-135)
Day 7: Ready to recalibrate? Look again at what you are bringing into the next year. Ask the Lord to give you a fresh perspective on your assignments and to reveal new plans for you.
Day 8: Seek the Lord to set order to His plan for you these next 12 months. (Ephesians 2:10)
Day 9: Write out your focus and assignments for the year. Thank God for preparing you to enter into His promises for you! (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
Day 10: Choose the Lamb! Make a fresh declaration of the saving grace of Jesus Christ in your life. Recall the day of your salvation and rejoice! (Ex. 12:3-5)
Day 11: Examine the Lamb! Look upon the Lord today in the beauty of His holiness. Take time to behold Him. Inquiry of Him! Worship Him! (Psalm 27)
Day 12: Praise God for Jesus, our Perfect Sacrifice! Sinless, blameless – without spot or blemish! Praise Him for His marvelous works! (Hebrews 9:11-15)
Day 13: Thank the Lord that He has prepared you and made a way for you to enter into Zion with the Lamb. (Hebrews 12:18-24)
Day 14: Get ready to feast as you declare “My house is ready!” It’s time to Passover into the new season.
